My Favorite Designers

Every day I find a new designer that to love and get inspiration from! But for right now I'll just talk about a few of my all time favorites, starting with the one and only, Alexander McQueen.

You canNOT be a fashion designer, or in the fashion industry in general and not know and love Alexander McQueen. I mean......please go look at their instagram page if you don't do so already 10x a day. There are some true geniuses behind those designs. Let us just admire a few....

I could just cry!!!! It took me 45 minutes just to pick which pictures I wanted to upload. Really though, the work in these collections leaves me in awe. I just...I don't even have words.

Next on my list of favorites is Marchesa. What I love so deeply about Marchesa is that whenever I'm scrolling through my instagram feed (which is 85% fashion and bridal designers) or see a picture of a celebrity in a gown, I can tell right away if it's one of their designs. I think something that they are able to pull off so well is having enough difference in each of their designs but always keeping true to their aesthetic and brand. And they do it so beautifully. Their brand is just so effortlessly itself, so fun, feminine and delicate yet sophisticated, with details that make each dress so intricate and intriguing to look at. In my opinion, almost every one of their dresses has a wow factor... like they are doing something RIGHT. And if you look back on their earlier designs, you will see what I mean about them keeping true to who they are, and I know I said this before but just to reiterate, that's what I love about their brand. And their Spring/Summer 2020 Bridal collection!!!! UGH, don't even get me started. Just see for yourself.

Last but not least, is Zimmermann. While I was studying abroad in Rome my junior year, I had to do a project for illustration and ended up illustrating one of their runway looks. I scrolled through all of vogues runway shows looking for a designer that spoke to me. I looked through their Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection and was IN LOVE. And the romance continues...

Please just take a moment to appreciate this video from their Resort 2020 Collection. You won't regret it.

Those are just a few of my favorite designers as of now! I hope you have come to love them just as much as I do or I hope this post has inspired you to go out and find your favorite designers! It's so fun to just spend sometime looking through vogue runway shows, and seeing all the creativity there is in the design world and how different designers aesthetics are. There are a million more talented designers out there, so, open up the blinds, pull a chair next to the window, cozy up with a cup of coffee and do some designer research!
